Why I Decided to Blog

Since I decided to start this blog many people have asked my why? Why now? What are your goals with trying something like this? Well, to tell you the truth, it was something different – I’m at that point where I need something to motivate me and blogging sounded like a fun new challenge. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job, my family, and my life in general, but I’m also kind of bored (same job for 12 years, pretty consistent schedule at home, etc.) so I thought maybe this blog would be a new adventure for me. I’ve always been pretty good at expressing myself on paper and if you ask my friends and family, I have a lot to say about pretty much everything. I have a variety of interests and like to bounce my ideas off of others to see what they think and to come up with even better ideas or expand my knowledge. What better platform to do that and reach a variety of people than a blog? My plan is to blog about what is important at any given time, to me and to my readers. I want to know what everyone is interested in hearing and learning about and I want to share anything I find that may be helpful with others. Chances are if I have a problem or question or find something exciting, someone else has the same problem or question or could benefit from that exciting new item or idea too. Hopefully my experiences along with those of readers, family, and friends will help everyone to simplify life, save some money, discover new products, or just have a laugh because really, learning, growing, and finding the humor in each day is what it’s all about. So that my friends, is why I decided to start a blog. ~ Alison
