{I received two complimentary children’s poodle skirts from Hip Hop 50’s Shop to facilitate this review. No additional compensation was received. All opinions are 100% my own and based on my experience with the product.}
Have you had a chance to check out the awesome vintage dresses and adult and children’s outfits from the Hip Hop 50’s Shop? I had seen them before and really loved them, but never had the opportunity to purchase one. I thought the children’s outfits would be so cute for my niece or daughter (but I really love the adult vintage dresses for myself too…I totally love the vintage rockabilly look!). When I was offered the chance to check out some of the children’s clothes I couldn’t pass up the opportunity since I had been eyeing them for a while.
So, What Were They Really Like?
Let me just say that I love these outfits. I received two children’s poodle skirts because I really wanted one for my daughter (guess what she’ll be for Halloween this year!) but when my niece found out what we were doing, she was so excited so I was able to get one for her as well. (Yes, the company has been great to work with so if that’s any indication of the type of customer service they provide, you will be in great hands when you place your order.) There were several colors to choose from, so I actually had a hard time deciding which ones to order because they were all amazing, but I finally went with black and pink which I was not disappointed with.
As with any review, you’re never sure about the quality of the items until you actually receive them, but upon arrival, it was very evident that these skirts were definitely going to last the girls for a while. The sizing chart that they have on the site is evidently super accurate because the skirts fit perfectly and with elastic waists, they will be able to be worn for quite a while even as the girls grow. The material is thick so it will definitely hold up to the wear and tear that goes with being 2 and 9 (which is fortunate because neither of them wanted to take them off…ever. I mean what little girl doesn’t like to play dress-up at least once in a while?) As you can see in the photos, the outfits are just adorable and at the affordable price they are being sold for on the Hip Hop 50’s Shop website, you really can’t go wrong.
Also don’t forget, beside these super cute poodle skirts, Hip Hop 50’s shop had a ton of other 50’s era accessories and adult clothing to choose from. If you’d like to learn more and stay up to date on any promotion, be sure to follow them on Facebook.
Do you’re kids play dress up? What are their favorite things to dress up in? What event would you or your kiddo wear one of these super cute outfits for? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!

April 15, 2014 at 9:47 pmAhh…I used to have saddle shoes when I was younger. My grandma got them for me and I’m pretty sure I was the only one wearing them, but I loved them!!!
