{I am a member of the Everywhere Society and Everywhere has provided me with product from the Macy’s Heart of Haiti collection as compensation for this post about OFEDA. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed herein are my own.}

We all remember the horrible 2010 earthquake in Haiti right? I know it pulled at my heartstrings as I’m sure it did many others as well. A lot has happened since then and while many not directly affected have all but forgotten the tragedy, the residents of Haiti are still struggling to rebuild their lives. That’s where OFEDA comes in. OFEDA is a group of women displaced by the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. These women have an entrepreneurial spirit and create products such as greeting cards and soaps from within their tent camp.  They have resided in challenging conditions for four years, but are now facing displacement yet again.  Many of these women are mothers. By purchasing Heart of Haiti product you are helping to supporting a sustainable economy for Haitian artisans and Everywhere will support your efforts by directly donating to the OFEDA cause.
