It’s already October if you can believe it. It seems like summer just flew by and now in a couple of weeks it’s already going to be Halloween! This mama was so not prepared but thankfully BuyCostumes.com came to the rescue. My kids were a little more on the ball than I was and had a pretty good idea what they wanted to dress up as this year, so the ability to order online and have the costumes shipped to my doorstep was a godsend since I have been crazy busy lately. Some days I’m not even sure how I find the time to feed everyone let alone go out costume shopping. Once we jumped online it took about 15 minutes to get the order placed and it only took that long because we had to browse a bit to be 100% sure that we were happy with our final costume decision.
Once we ordered it took about 5 days to receive our package with regular ground shipping. The packaging was great, everything we ordered was there, and I was really impressed with the quality of the costumes. I don’t know what I expected to be honest, but you all know, sometimes Halloween costumes can seem cheaply made, and these absolutely are not. I can totally see my kids wearing these for dress-up or even again for Halloween next year. They’re that good.
My eldest kiddo decided to be Bane, the villain from the Batman movies. I ordered based on the size chart on the website and as you can see the costume fit him perfectly. He’s worn the mask piece around a bit and says it’s actually quite comfortable and it’s also very well made…not just a cheap piece of plastic like us moms and dads used to get with our costumes! We just have to go pick up a pair of hiking boots or something and he’s set.
My toddler, well she wanted to be Anna from Frozen because….well Frozen. I always worry about how cold it’s going to be out and about Trick -or- Treating so hope the costumes for the little ones are “full coverage”. The Anna costume that we chose, is perfect! The skirt piece is actually 2 layers so with a pair of tights underneath she should be nice and toasty this year while out and about. Now my Bella is tall and thin, so again I ordered based on the size chart and as you can see everything fits great. The only modification I have to make is to take in the pettiskirt and vest just a touch as they are just a bit loose on her. A simple tack in the back though and we’ll be good to go and then we can just let it out as she grows. This one will definitely get tons of wear even beyond Halloween I’m sure! (Her 3rd Birthday is in November and I’m sure there’ll be a Frozen theme there too!)
Overall, I’m super impressed with BuyCostumes.com. The information they provide online is accurate, the shipping speed was as expected, and I couldn’t have asked for better quality products. Since I didn’t have any issues to address I can’t speak for the quality of their customer service, but I can assume that it’s top notch as well. I will definitely order from them in the future. The time and money saved alone is totally worth it!
