A couple weeks ago I started sharing some candy corn creations since it is the season of candy corn and it just so happens to be one of my favorite things ever!! If you missed the Candy Corn Flavored Vodka or the Candy Corn Candle Holders, be sure to check them out. Today I’m going to share a couple of super easy snacks incorporating candy corn. The cool thing about these, other than the fact that they’re ridiculously easy, is that they can be used throughout the entire fall season…they’re not necessarily only for Halloween or Thanksgiving and they’ll definitely be a hit at your next gathering.
Candy Corn Chocolate Pretzel Bites
So we’ve all seen, heard of, or had chocolate covered pretzels. I think most of us can agree they’re pretty scrumptious. That’s why this little adaptation of that very popular snack is perfect for a Halloween or Thanksgiving party. Simply grab some mini pretzels (the twist kind) and put them onto a non-stick cookie sheet. Place a Hershey’s kiss in the middle of each pretzel. Put them in 175 F oven for about 2-4 minutes, or until the chocolate has softened, but not fully melted. Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and top with a candy corn and press down. Allow to cool and serve. Doesn’t get any easier than that!
Candy Corn Snack Mix
Again, snack mix, trail mix, or whatever you call it is pretty popular. It appeals to the masses and it’s easy to make a lot of it. There are a number of recipes out there to create your own salty snack mixes from scratch, but we all know, as crafty and creative as I like to think I am, I am also very much the queen of convenience. Work smarter not harder I always say. For this we are using a little rice cracker mix and a nut mix here. Pretty much whatever your fave snack mix is at the store is what you should use. Simply, mix in some candy corn and you’ve got a sweet and salty treat you guests are going to love. Okay, so maybe this one is just a little easier than the pretzels after all.
Could you see yourself making either of these for an upcoming party or holiday gathering? What’s your favorite easy to throw together seasonal treat? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!

October 15, 2014 at 1:09 pmYum! I LOVE Chocolate pretzels, but I’ve never tried them with candy corn. My favorite way to eat candy corn though is in a nut mix. It tastes like a candy bar. Thanks for sharing!
