In our busy world, we all need time to ourselves to rewind, recharge, and rediscover what inspires us most. As a very busy mama, I sometimes forget that, but those moments, no matter when or where you grab them, are important and necessary. Whether you’re wrangling toddlers, up all night worrying until your teen gets home, holding down a career outside the home, a work from home mama, caring for your aging parents — or any combination of those things — everyone needs an occasional break for sanity’s sake. This means taking time each day to do something for yourself. It’s time well deserved, it’s “me time” and believe it or not, it’s within your grasp.
Sometimes these moments aren’t obvious — you really have to sneak them in wherever you can. Sometimes it’s in the car waiting for Karate class to get over.
Sometimes it’s break time or lunch hour at work.
Sometimes if you’re really lucky, you find some “me time” in the evening when you can put on your favorite slippers, kick up your feet, and really relax!
Regardless of when I find my “me time” though, one thing is for sure, I always make a stop at Safeway where they’re sure to have the newest copy of People or In Style magazines. I love being able to catch up on entertainment, fashion, and beauty when I have some time to kick back and relax. My days aren’t always glamorous…okay, rarely are my days ever glamorous, but immersing myself in the latest styles helps me feel more glamorous while I wind down and de-stress which is exactly what I need to gear up to finish my day strong.
Don’t forget to jump over to the Just4U online portal from 10/23/14 – 11/20/14 or while supplies last, grab a $1 off coupon before you head out to the nearest Safeway for your copy of People, People Style Watch, Sunset, or InStyle magazines.
How do you sneak in a few moments of “me time”? What’s your favorite thing to do when you get those few sweet moments to unwind? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!

November 3, 2014 at 7:50 amMy mom loves reading People. I try to pick her up one every week so she’ll have something to do. She loves reading the stories and when she is bored you can tell because she’ll draw mustaches and what not on some people. I hope your having a great day!

November 3, 2014 at 1:08 pmLol that’s awesome. It is one of the better mags out there, its entertaining without being completely false, but still shares stories that make you feel like your getting the inside scoop.

November 7, 2014 at 9:24 amDo you have mom guilt when you do that?! I always do, and I hate feeling bad for spending a few minutes on Pinterest or reading a book that has nothing to do with how to potty train or child related. Glad to know I am not the only one who tries to sneak in me time.

November 7, 2014 at 10:46 amSo this is kind of random, but I loved your kicking back with slippers bit! I live in Hawaii right now and everyone calls flip flops “slippers” and it confuses/bug me because I think of slippers as being warm and cozy, perfect for reading, not what I wear to the beach!
