I received an Avalon Bay Air Fryer for the purpose of this review. This post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own.
Guess what? I got to check out a cool new kitchen gadget and now you get to hear about it! I’ll pause for a second while you get a hold of yourself and calm down from the initial burst of excitement……..Okay, that’s long enough. So since ya’ll know I love gadgets it’s no surprise that I was pretty stoked to try out the Avalon Bay Airfryer . Hubby was pretty excited about this one too because he’s a gadget lover too, but for some reason, kitchen appliances really call to him (which is totally fine with me because that usually means he’ll make dinner with no complaints for at least a few days after we get something new). Winning!
The Avalon Bay Airfryer was especially cool because hubby has been wanting a deep fryer for quite a while and I never get one because while everything deep fried is delicious, it’s not super healthy so having it in the house would just make it that much easier to sabotage my attempts at healthier eating. The air fryer sounded like the perfect compromise – fried goodness without the fatty oils.
How Does It Work?
The fan technology removes the fats & oils from the food, by allowing it to drip through the drip basket. It then AirFrys the food by lifting the oil and making your food airborne by coating it. It does this continuously throughout the cooking process. The result is, you don’t need to use oil. Meaning less waste, less calories and less guilt. The AirFryer uses a combination of high-speed circulation, which makes the hot air rapidly circulate within the AirFryer. All the ingredients within the non-stick food basket will be heated at once, as the heat will come in through all sides. This guarantees that with the Avalon Bay Air Fryer your food will be cooked evenly due to the optimal heat distribution.
Does It Work?
Instead of boring you with a long drawn out story about how well this little gadget works – take a look for yourself:
Is this something you could see your family using? What do you think your favorite food to make in the AirFryer would be? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!

January 12, 2015 at 11:58 amI totally need this!! My boyfriend is against buying a deep fryer because then we’ll just eat garbage all the time (delicious, delicious garbage, hahaha) but this could be a great compromise!

January 13, 2015 at 2:22 amI think my favorite thing to make would be wings for hubby. I bought a deep fryer for my son (he asked for one). HIs wife is very health conscious though, so this could make a world of difference in him getting to use it. 😉

January 15, 2015 at 7:58 pmYes it’s an awesome compromise and really much easier to clean up and maintain than an actual deep fryer; plus when you spontaneously want to make something you’re never disappointed because you’re out of cooking oil.

January 15, 2015 at 7:56 pmWe have actually used it quite a bit beyond “review purposes” which is cool. It’s way better than just microwaving stuff because it doesn’t come out soggy, but way faster than baking and easier than actually oil frying – winning!
