About a week has gone by since I attended Blogger Bash in New York and I’m still trying to absorb everything I learned, saw, and tried. Not only was it my firt trip to the Big Apple, it was my first Blogger Bash and my first conference without my best bloggy sidekick. Hubby traveled with me though so I wasn’t a defenseless damsel in a big scary city. The trip, the conference, the company, it really was more than I could have asked for and an experience I won’t soon forget. The amazing ladies and everything involved in making this conference happen really went above and beyond and I can gurarntee that this will now be on my list of can’t miss events each year.
We arrived in New York on Wednesday afternoon and since the conference didn’t officially start until Thursday we did a little exploring after we got checked in to our hotel. What does a NYC first timer do? Check out Times Square of course! Once we wrapped our head around the madness we went and checked out Central Park, grabbed some grub off of one of the many food trucks, and then headed back to the hotel for the evening so that we’d be ready to go for the festivities the next morning.
After registration at Pier 60 on Thursday morning, we headed over to Current for an awesome and inspiring Care Bears Brunch courtesy of American Greetings. We were able to have some great food, learn about the awesome campaigns that Care Bears are supporting, see some of the newest bears in the line up and we even became #ShareYourCare Ambassadors! Hugs anyone?
After meeting a real live Care Bear I thought it couldn’t get much better, but alas I was wrong. They herded us all on to busses and took us to the Astor Place Theater where we were able to see a private performance by the Blue Man Group! This is the part where I’m giddy with excitement on the inside because this is a show that I’ve always wanted to see but never been in the right place at the right time. Totally worth the wait! I’m going to let you in on a little secret — you need to keep your eyes peeled because I’m going have a giveaway for a family pack of tickets to a show of your choice here in the near future!!! Amazing right?!
After the show and a little Q&A session, we all hustled back onto the busses to get back to Pier 60 because it was time for the big event that everyone had been anxiously awaiting; #SweetSuite15! I’d heard about this party from others that had attended in prior years, but I really didn’t know exactly what to expect. Let me tell you, when I walked in…mind blown! Food, drinks, brands, toys, friends – I mean really I can’t imagine how an event of this nature could be better – I guess because it couldn’t. If you haven’t attended and you need to put this on your bloggy bucket list for sure. I have a ton more photos, but I’m not going to share them all here because I’ll be sharing them in a separate post when I tell you about all the awesomeness that is going to be on the toy shelves this holiday season!
Friday morning started off with the Disney Infinity 3.0 breakfast. Awesome!!! We’re a gaming family and basically everything Disney makes us giddy with excitement so this…this was arguably the highlight of the trip. I’ll have more details in a later post, but what I’ll tell you now, is that Disney Infinity 3.0 is going to be amazing. Pre-order it right now because you don’t want to miss this one.
After breakfast we visited the Expo hall where we met some awesome brands, saw some amazing products, made what I hope will be great connections, and of course got a massage which I totally needed after several days in the city. Friday evening finally culminated with a carnival courtesy of Canadian Lentils. It was complete with a champagne pourer hanging from a chandelier – what??!! !
Obviously, it was an amazing trip and an experience I won’t soon forget. You better believe that I’ll be heading to Blogger Bash again in the future!
