A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be.
~Douglas Pagels
My daughter is at the age where she’s beginning to make friends at daycare (“school”) and starting to understand the concept of friendship. She’s also beginning to discover that just because she knows someone, or even attends the same school as them, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re friends. She’s turning 4 in two weeks so as you can imagines, while she doesn’t fully understand why you would be friends with some people and not others, she’s at a very impressionable age so I want her to learn what friendship is all about in a positive light.
Friendships plays such a pivitol role in peoples lives, especially during childhood so I want the things that influence her each day to not only be fun, but to be learning experiences and to provoke discussion with her dad, brother, and I. One of these influences that we’ve (Bella & I) sort of fallen in love with lately is the Nick Jr. TV show Little Charmers. In the magical land of Charmville, three Charmers-in-Training do their best to make good use of their new magical powers which tend to lead to hilarious misadventures! The best part is that the Charmers find that their most important power is true friendship. They learn that with a mix of teamwork and self-confidence they can overcome anything that comes their way.
If course there is a Little Charmers toy line as well, which as you can see my daughter adores. I must admit the toys are pretty cute and they do a great job of keeping that magical feeling of friendship alive even once the TV screen is off. Lately Hazel has been hanging out with our family just about everywhere we go!
If you’ve been trying to think of the perfect toy to cultivate fun and learning for one of the kiddos in your life this year, Little Charmers are the perfect holiday gift! Visit the Little Charmers website to make this holiday season magical!
