With winter upon us, you probably notice your pet looks a little dirty from playtime in the mud or snow. We live in the country so there’s plenty of dirt to go around, and with that longer, thicker winter hair, our dogs were starting to look a little rough. Especially Miss Molly since she rides pretty low to the ground.
If you’re pets are in the same state of disarray, don’t worry; you are not alone, but it’s time to start thinking about getting them spruced up for Spring and Summer. Just how are you going to help your pet get rid of the winter crud build up and look fantastic? PetSmart® wants to help you help them put their best paw forward! Now I had never taken my pets to the groomer before – I had always done it all myself, but I decided to take little Molly in and have the Petsmart® professionals take care of her 1st real grooming since she has long hair and the rest of my pups don’t.
I was amazed at the extensive list of services that PetSmart Grooming offers. From Bath and Brush to Bath and Full Groom and add on products like tooth brushing and fun Spring Top Dog and even Cat Aromatherapy! Booking our appoint with the online booking system was easy peasy (just the way I like it). We went with a bath, cut, toothbrushing, and of course we had to get her pretty little nails painted after Savannah, our groomer, got her nails all filed down. I wasn’t sure how Molly would react since it was her first grooming experience, but Savannah was great with her and even gave me a full report card of what they did with her when I came in to pick her up.
I was very impressed when I learned that all PetSmart salon associates acquire annual safety certification and take additional course-work where they learn about dog anatomy, signs of stress and common pet medical conditions. PetSmart groomers that give haircuts also receive an additional 400 hours of hands-on training and their salons offer a “Look Great Guarantee,” which is their promise that you’ll be happy with your pet’s service, or they’ll do whatever it takes to make it right. They work until you’re happy or it’s free…for me that says a lot. I love that you can book an appointment online, even choosing your favorite groomer! I know we’ll definitely be requesting Savannah next time we take Molly in. I also thought it was pretty cool that I could get text alerts or emails notifying me when Molly was ready to be picked up — convenient, just the way I like it!
