What do your dream appliances look like? I’ve planned out my dream house in general, but never really focused on appliances specifically…that is until my trip last month to the Mom 2.0 Summit. I always come away from there with all kinds of new knowledge, motivation, friends, or something worthwhile. This time I left in awe about what I learned the newest line of Samsung appliances at Best Buy can do.
We’re currently in the market for a new refrigerator because the one we currently have is slowing edging toward retirement. You know, it starts with a busted drawer runner, then a light goes out, and now the ice maker doesn’t work…well except when you finally break down and go buy a bag of ice, then it’ll spit out just enough to get your hopes up. Anywhoo…I’ve started thinking maybe it’s time to put the old gal out to pasture and find something with a little more spring in it’s step and Samsung has designed this Family Hub Refrigerator with Touchscreen, I’m pretty sure with me in mind. The Family Hub refrigerator features three built-in cameras for food management and direct grocery ordering. Plus, you can share multiple calendars, photos, and notes, stream music and videos, and use screen mirroring with your compatible TV. I think I might finally be happy barefoot in the kitchen!
Know what else I’m pretty sure I can’t live without? Okay, let me set this up for you so that you understand where I’m coming from here. Picture this, it’s laundry day (yes I understand that’s every day), and you’ve got your piles sorted by color, type, whatever and you get that first load going. A few minutes later you stumble upon a random article on the floor under the kitchen table…because of course that’s where dirty laundry goes, but dang it, the load that’s already going is the one you need to add this rogue shirt too! Enter this awesome Samsung Washer with Addwash! You can use the AddWash door to conveniently add forgotten laundry after the cycle has begun without completely stopping and re-starting your load and the large 5.0 cu. ft. capacity lets you get more laundry done in less time. You can even finish a load in just 30 minutes with Super Speed. Oh come to mama!
Now there was so much more have-to-have stuff there, like a robot vacuum and the dishwasher to end all dishwashers, but the fridge and washing machine just spoke to me. I was hoping they’d load themselves up and throw themselves in my car too, but that really would be a fairy tale right? That reminds me…I think I need to run down to the mini-mart and grab a bag of ice…
So, if you could choose any feature or type of technology for an appliance to have, what would you choose and why? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!

June 3, 2016 at 12:39 pmYep. That washer and dryer – I am in love with them. I have a front load w/d set now and they’re…well, they’re nice enough, but I really want these. I laugh to my husband…you know you’re a grown up when you get really, really excited over appliances like a washer and dryer. They’re coming…
