Thank you to Fiber One & Costco for sponsoring this post. All opinions and my love for guilt free indulgence is 100% mine!
Hi, my name is Alison and I’m a serial dieter…I’ve tried just about everything, yes even those pills that promise magic overnight that we all know aren’t for real and certainly aren’t real healthy…been there, done that. I think I’ve finally tried enough different diets that I’ve assured myself that the only way to really be successful, is to change my food and exercise habits. Honestly that’s not such a big deal EXCEPT one huge issue that I keep running in to. I have sweet tooth and my sugary cravings are multiplied a zillion times when I tell myself the sweet goodness is off limits. Somehow I always sabotage myself and fall back into the same old routine. This is not a story about my diet failures though, it’s about a solution and that solution is Fiber One.
Now stay with me here. If you’ve tried Fiber One products you probably already know what I’m talking about. If not, you want to know – just trust me. So last week I’m at Costco trying to buy some “healthy” foods to have around the house because we all know being prepared is half the battle. I knew full well that I couldn’t totally give up sweets though so I needed to procure something that made me feel like I was indulging, but not completely sabotaging my plan. Wouldn’t you know there was a huge Fiber One display and they even had one of those sample dudes out there so I could give it a try. Umm, delicious! They had two flavor choices, Fiber One Lemon Bars (which are like eating a small chunk of lemony heaven) and the Oats & Chocolate bars which are perfect for satisfying that irresistible urge to devour a pile of chocolate.
Seriously, they’re so good they should be called BarNone or something instead of Fiber One! I brought them home (a box of each flavor of course) and my 14 year old son, who is about as picky as they come, has been eating them on the daily before heading off to 9 hours of marching practice at band camp. He said they keep him full until they serve dinner each evening. What he doesn’t know is that the bars now have 25% less sugar and are free of artificial flavors and colors. Yay! I didn’t even have to put out any effort to get him to make better choices. Also, these are portable so since we spend almost zero time at home with all of our other obligations, that’s a pretty important feature for anything we add to our lifestyle – Winning!!
I mean really, after seeing these, who could really resist though? So I’m just saying, maybe this diet thing will work out now that I’ve found Fiber One to solve one of my biggest diet deprivation problems. Wish me luck! And if agree Fiber One is one of the best on-the-go snack ideas like I do, be sure to check out this board on Pinterest.
