Momming is tough. Am I right? There’s not a handbook and I find myself saying things that I could have never fathomed would come out of my mouth because let’s face it, kids are weird. They do weird things, they ask questions that nobody should ever ask another person (but heck, they don’t know any better right?), and they have a way of making you feel like you’re a hot mess running around even if you just five seconds earlier were feeling like you were pretty put together that day. Ever have an argument with a 4 year old? Then I suspect you’re probably not a parent and quite possibly have never even met a child. No I’m not proud of it, but it happens…I mean we can’t let the kids win regardless of how ridiculous the argument is right?
Then there are teenagers…I have a theory that teenagers are why wine is so popular. Wine keeps frazzled moms of teenagers classy because sucking down a bottle of whiskey while acting as a short order cook every evening makes you a drunk and we surely don’t want that. As you can imagine with my day job, a four year old, a teenager, my own business, and other obligations that I for some insane reason keep accepting, I don’t have a lot of time to sit down and enjoy television, but when I saw the premier of Better Things on the FX Network, I knew it was one that I needed to take me time for because it is basically my life in a network series. It’s also a good reminder that I’m not alone and that being perfect isn’t a requirement for being a good parent. Also, if I didn’t laugh, I’d cry and laughing is definitely the best medicine!
Mom Deserves Better Things Swag Box Giveaway
FX knows that moms don’t always feel as awesome as they actually are so they were thoughtful enough to send me a box of goodies that help me keep on keepin on. Note the Ray Ban sunglasses because no mom ever gets enough sleep. The pillow you can use it to rest on, throw, or scream in to so that’s pretty valuable in my book. Plus an array of other items that will definitely come in handy – kind of a mom survival kit! You too can have a Better Things Swag Box of your very own! All you have to do is check out a clip or two from Better Things here, and then come back and tell me either how your life relates to the show or you’re weirdest, craziest mom moment to date. I’ll randomly pick one of my favorite comments.* Good Luck!

September 21, 2016 at 7:22 pmJust from reading the things about this show over the past few weeks that I have, I can totally see how moms will relate to this show. We have all had those days and being a mom of a girl, I can truly relate to the pain of raising girls over boys.

September 29, 2016 at 8:19 pmI found out about this show recently online through FX’s page. I love how authentic the characters are and the situations. Who hasn’t been through waking up exhausted and used ‘bed eye’ to check to make sure the coast is clear? It is a great show.
