As a mom, I can be my own worst critic. I imagine a lot of you parents are shaking your head in agreement right now. It never seems like we’re doing enough because there’s always something else we would’ve like to have done, participated in, volunteered for, and so on.We question if we’re monitoring our kids enough, or are we hovering too much. Do we give them what they want or are we spoiling them and making them less appreciative of what they do have. There are no easy answers right? It’s a battle we’ll never win – being perfect people so I say we take some time to reflect on the things we do every single day that awesome because let me tell you, we’re crushing it out there!
Who has the best boo boo healing kisses? Mom and dad of course. Who else drives carpool for 10 kids at two different locations because you have a high schooler in band and a toddler in tiny tots sports and practices that are not even remotely close to each other. Has anyone else ever gotten that fundraiser that’s due tomorrow that you knew nothing about and managed to sling 24 apples pies in a matter of 6 hours so your kid could get a prize too? Yes – that’s really happened.
And lets not forget about our actual jobs, work from home, at the office, it doesn’t matter. Work is work and we make good on those obligations too and we do a darn good job. See what I mean? We’re crushing it out there! Which reminds me I may have just volunteered myself to provide snack for 75 marching band and color guard kids at practice this week…and no I do not have a plan or any idea what I will serve; but you know what? I’ll make it happen because that’s what we do. Crushing it…
Since we’re basically operating at super hero status these days, even if we don’t always feel like it, it’s nice that there are companies out there that see our needs and create products that help us along. I don’t know how I’d do half the stuff I do every day without being caffeinated so having a way to enjoy my coffee and tea on the go helps me continue to crush it every single day. That’s why I always have Dixie® To Go ready and waiting. Not only does Dixie® To Go let me take my pick me up on the road, I even use them for my toddlers drinks on the fly – she’s feels like big girl and I don’t to cry over spilled milk…literally. No dirty dishes to worry about either because does it sound like I have time for that? Heck no – there are dragons to be slayed (literally…our color guard prop this year is a dragon and you guessed it, parents had to make it happen), pumpkin patch field trips to be taken, and shoes to be tied found, and boosters meeting to be attended. And thanks to Dixie® To Go I can accomplish all of those things will sipping my coffee and pretending I’ve got my stuff together. Winning!
So tell me, how do you crush it daily? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!
