Who’s married out there? Getting married? Weddings are a lot of work, but they’re also worth every second of it. There are few days in ones life that are more important, special, or memorable than ones wedding day. One that probably comes in a close second is the big proposal. Mine is not one of those. It’s partly my fault and makes for part of our funny story of life, but definitely not the picture perfect proposal that most people likely picture.
Long story short, we went to Seattle for a weekend and hubby (boyfriend at the time), had big plans. I had no idea and got a little testy about something, I don’t for the life of me remember what and we ended up in an argument that culminated with a ring being tossed across a Seattle parking lot. I spent the next half hour searching for said ring and feeling like a major jerk. Rest assured it all worked out okay though and after a year and a half of relentless planning, we pulled off an absolutely gorgeous wedding.
Thank goodness the engagement photos turned out much better than the actual proposal.
I just wish I had know about Evite then though, it would have saved this girl a ton of stress in those planning stages. From Save the Dates to the big day itself, there’s an invitation or announcement to fit your needs. If you’re a bride or grooms to-be or a wedding party planner, it’s worth the time you’ll save to consider using Evite invitations for wedding events. Their goal is to make your life easier and do the work so you don’t have to – all you need to do is focus on being together for one of life’s most important moments.
Right now Evite is running a photo contest inviting newly engaged couples to share a photo of themselves for a chance to be featured on a Premium Evite wedding invitation. The winning couple will also receive a “Date Night” all expenses paid by Evite, a complete Premium invitation suite specially designed for their wedding events, and one year of free Premium invitations for events leading up to the big day. The submission period for this contest is 1/9/2017 through 1/23/2017 and the voting period is 1/24/2017 through 2/7/2017 and really, this is pretty awesome for anyone in their wedding planning stages so if that’s you or someone you know, spread the word.

January 22, 2017 at 4:59 pmHow funny! So my husband and I decided that we were going to elope. We didn’t tell anyone but we picked out the rings, we set the destination, and we made our reservations. But I told my husband that since we had mutually decided to get married, I still wanted to be “proposed” to. I knew it was coming. Heck, I picked out the ring! Ha!
But we went to dinner at the place where we had our first date. And then afterward, my husband proposed. I knew it was coming, he knew I knew, but the rest of the world thought it was a HUGE surprise. Ha!
