After what I’m certain was the absolute longest winter ever here in the Pacific Northwest; it seems Spring is just bulldozing a path straight to Summer. At least according to the amount of shedding my dogs and horses have been doing the last couple of weeks. Now I can’t wait for all the camping, fishing and BBQ’s that will be had this summer! Bring on the fun!
While I’m stoked to see the sun on a regular basis, the warmer weather has also caused some of our fave pesty bugs to awaken from their winter slumber. Now I’m all for inviting everyone to the party, but these guys are the exception to the rule. As much as I would like the flys and mosquitoes to stay away, I also don’t want to smell like bug spray all the time as it’s not the most flattering fragrance. If summer has you looking for an alternative to what’s available from your fave retailer, give this DIY concoction a try. It works great for us and you don’t smell like you’ve bathed in a vat of chemicals. Win – win if I do say so myself!
