Whether you are hoping to stay for a couple of weeks, or even just for a few days, these attractions and activities should give you some inspiration on where to go and what to do in Miami. Here are my fave top five things to do when you visit:
Visit Miami Beach
Miami Beach is one of the most famous attractions in Miami, and with its glistening waters and sandy beach, it is the perfect place to soak up the sunshine and chill out. Miami Beach is the ideal place to stop and take a break from sightseeing and enjoy the laid back beach vibe on offer here.
Take a Boat Trip
One of the things that Miami is most well-known for is its stunning coastline. Of course, you will also get to see the city from a whole new perspective and admire the architecture and skyline from the sea.

Miami is a hot spot for Art Deco architecture, and here you will see some fantastic examples of Art Deco buildings. Miami is probably home to the most significant amount of Art Deco architecture in the world, so it’s well worth checking out these stylish white buildings on your visit. Wander along Ocean Drive to fully appreciate the Art Deco style, and see if you can recognise any of the buildings that have featured in blockbuster movies.

Little Havana is the home of Cuban culture in Miami and a great place to wander and enjoy a feast for all the senses. Head to the centre of Little Havana at Calle Ocho to experience the sights and sounds. Around Little Havana, you will hear Latino music playing, and plenty of lovely places to get something to eat. While you are in Little Havana, be sure to wander around to experience the atmosphere and see the street art.
Take a Trip to the Miami Design District
The Miami Design District is home to plenty of designer stores for those that like to flash the cash. If your budget is a little more limited then don’t worry – there’s plenty more to do here other than shop. Visit the Miami Design District, and you can enjoy taking a stroll through the neighborhood’s stunning architecture, discover a whole host of restaurants serving delicious food, as well as see some beautiful artwork. In fact, there are more than 100 art galleries in the Miami Design District, making it a culture lovers’ paradise.
