Paying attention to how you feel after doing certain activities or eating certain types of foods is a great way of finding out what isn’t working for you. Also, noticing changes in your body can alert you to more than just needing to change how you take care of yourself. It can alert you to possible illnesses or injuries.
For example, if you are experiencing digestive problems this could indicate you need further medical checks to get to the cause of the problems if changing your diet doesn’t work. Conditions such as Gastroparesis require further medical intervention to reduce symptoms such as bloating. pain and the inability to tolerate a normal diet.
Exercise More.
Are you feeling lethargic frequently despite getting enough sleep? Or are you experiencing sleep issues? Did you know that exercising can help you feel physically and mentally more alert and on your game? Being inactive means you aren’t using up your energy stores and leaves you feeling more tired.
A great way to change this is to get moving. You don’t even need to hit the gym. Memberships can be so expensive, so get outside, go for a walk, or even a swim if you can. The fresh air coupled with the walking can not only change how you feel physically but release those feel-good endorphins to give you the boost to get going.
Change your Diet.
With so many different diets and eating plans these days, you can be forgiven for thinking there is no one right or wrong way to healthy!
A great way to start is to drink more water and introduce healthier foods into your diet. Stick to everything in moderation mindset and reduce the amount of processed foods you eat in favour of fresher produce such as fruits and vegetables.
This is a great way to help boost your energy levels and as well as improve how you feel. Reducing fats, sugar and salt in your diet can help you lose weight and improve your health overall, Including brighter, clearer skin, improvements in your mood, sleeping patterns and general wellbeing.
Introducing changes gradually can help you build new long term habits that you are likely to stick to. This is opposed to completely overhauling your complete lifestyle at once and leaving yourself feeling overwhelmed and more likely to undo all of your good work.
