Y’all my pockets are not deep right now. Two years of unemployment, a graduating senior and a boujee eight year old cheerleader have this mama counting every penny. Being a budget shopper though, doesn’t mean I don’t like some shiny new things once in a while. I just have to make sure that I have a good balance of cost and quality when I do splurge a little.
One of my current favorite accessories is a bold statement ring. I’m also growing very fond of ear cuffs. It’s classy and low profile, and it can be worn casually or with professional attire. Versatility for the win! The best part, no additional piercings are required to wear this ear cuff so no healing time or worrying about holes closing should you choose not to wear it for a while. Again, convenience is once of my favorite attributes with anything I purchase.
I also fancy big chunky bracelets. (Are you seeing a trend here? I like bold pieces). Now, I’m not much of a necklace wearer, I feel like I fight my hair getting tangled in it too much, but if the right one catches my eye I can be swayed. I also used to wear earrings all the time, but stopped for some reason, and now my ears have been naked for a while and I think I’d like to change that. A little sparkle and shine just makes a girl feel good ya know?!
Finally, sunglasses or prescription glasses. Sunglasses are an accessory that I rarely leave home without and they can make or break and outfit as well. They can also take a boring outfit and make it much more interesting
