Basic HVAC Maintenance is a Chore No More

If you have a furnace or AC in your home, and chances are you do, then you know how hard it can be to remember to change out those filters on a regular basis. I know we’re horrible about it. It’s a bit embarrassing to admit, but if we get ours changed once in the spring and once in the fall, it’s been a stellar year. Did you know that you’re actually supposed to change those pesky things out, on average, about once every three months at least to keep the air in your home clean and safe? If you have pets or live in an area that’s high in dust (country living anyone?) then you may need to change them more frequently.  Dirty filters also make your HVAC unit work harder over time which can result in some unnecessary repair bills, and ain’t nobody got time for that! Remembering to change those puppies though, is half the battle.

 

That’s where Filter Easy comes in. They take the “remembering” part out of your hands with what is essentially an air filter subscription service. Say what?? That’s right, you can have the size and quality of air filters you need for your particular home, delivered right to your door right on schedule. What’s this cost you ask? Honestly, when I ordered my first set, I was pleasantly surprised because the price was about the same as picking them up at Lowe’s or even Wal-Mart depending on the brand and quality you normally buy.  And ordering was super easy! You just select the number of filters you want (we need 2 per shipment), enter your sizes, choose the filter grade (lite allergen, micro allergen, or super allergen), check out, and breath easy. My first order of filters arrived on my doorstep in under a week.

 

 

The great thing about the subscription service, is that you can also delay or expedite shipments, or cancel at any time you decide maybe it’s just not for you. And don’t fear, once you sign up, unlike some subscription services that basically take an act of god to get cancelled, Filter Easy really does let you cancel with ease.  That being said, I have no intention of cancelling because I can’t find any negatives about the services so far…it really makes one of those easily forgotten, but important household chores, part of the routine.
