Candy Corn For All
What is Autumn’s Favorite Candy? Well Candy Corn of course. Candy corn has been around for a long time…since like the 1800’s I believe, and if Pinterest is any indication, it is just as popular now as it has ever been. If that’s not convincing enough, I read somewhere the other day that something like 25 million pounds of candy corn are sold each year. Craziness right?? (Although I’m sure I eat about a 100 of those pounds myself…no really…I love the stuff). The candies are a very sweet treat in themselves, but there are also plenty of ways to incorporate them into fun food items and even your décor. You’ve already seen my Candy Corn Flavored Vodka recipe from last week (if you haven’t make sure you check it out) and for the next few weeks, I’m going to continue sharing with you some of my very favorite Candy Corn creations.
Candy Corn Candle Holders
Today our creation isn’t necessarily edible (well, I mean it could be if you so desire but that’s not exactly the intent). But let me tell you, making your own holiday home décor doesn’t get any easier than this. I mean honestly, it doesn’t even take glue so this is a project I was pretty confident I could definitely pull off! What’s even better is it uses my fave Fall candies (which we all know is Candy Corn)!
Seriously, all you do is take a small glass candle holder or container, fill it with candy corn and top it with a tea light. It’s a perfect, yet budget friendly and completely simple centerpiece to a Fall dinner table. I can just see this fitting in with not only harvest or Halloween decorations, but lasting all the way through Thanksgiving.
So what do you think? Super cool and you’re headed out to buy a bag of candy corns and some tea lights now or way to easy and corny? (Yes, pun intended!) Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!

September 26, 2014 at 1:03 pmI love this idea! Candy corn is so festive but I just really am not into the actual candy itself- so this would be a perfect way for me to have it around anyways 😉
