Fun fact about me: I absolutely loathe doing laundry. To be more specific I strongly dislike putting it away. I can wash, dry and fold all day long, but the putting away part gets me every time. Some weeks we literally pick clothes out of the clean pile on the “folding couch” and then it goes back in the hamper, never once seeing the inside of a closet or drawer. Don’t judge.
Now, that being said, there are a few things in life that make the laundry duties seem not quite so bad. Those things include a front load washer and dryer with huge tubs so I can get it all done in fewer loads, a thirteen year old that actually pitches in and helps (on demand of course, we haven’t gotten him quite trained to volunteer yet), and method laundry detergent. There are so many reasons why I love these little bottles of concentrated liquid gold. It works, it smells great, and the packaging takes up less space and is completely biodegradable. Sounds perfect right?
How Does It Work? How Does It Smell? Is It Convenient? Is it Made From Real Unicorn Tears?
These are the 4 main questions I ask myself about laundry detergent because let’s be real…if it doesn’t work or doesn’t smell awesome, we’re kind of wasting our money and for this busy mama, convenience is really essential. Number four is really a pretty tall order so we usually waive that requirement if the other three are met.
So does method meet all the requirements? Well, it’s 4x concentrated so not only does it have a small footprint, it’s gets dirt and stains out like a boss and keeps your colors bright and your whites white. You can even use it in cold water and save a little energy while you’re at it. Bonus point! It’s also hypoallergenic and the bottle is totally biodegradable so you sensitive Sally’s out there can totally use this and the environment will be happy too! For those who are about space optimization (we have a super tiny laundry hall so this is awesome), there is also an 8x concentrated formula with an easy-to-use pump.
As far as smell, method offers a fragrance for everyone (fruity (ginger mango), floral (spring garden), herbaceous-woody (beach sage and fresh clover), and free + clear (no fragrance). No complaints there! Finally, is it convenient? I already mentioned the concentrated formula which equates to a smaller container for easy storage and method also has an easy-to-use grip on the bottle and the 8x concentrated pump option even works with no mess for my tweenager! I’d say method passes the test.
Now for something extra fun! Make sure you check out the ASOS Hub to take a look at their easy to care for spring lineup that resulted from a collaboration between method and ASOS. Pretty awesome right? Don’t waste any time though, because this fun and funky 10-piece collection is only available through June 30th.
I’m pretty sure by this point you’re thinking dang, I need to try method for myself. If you decide to order make sure to use the code THREEFORME for $3 off your online purchase.
What do you think your favorite feature or fragrance would be in the method lineup? Did you check out the ASOS Hub? What was your favorite design? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!

April 23, 2015 at 7:01 pmThanks for sharing this information about the laundry detergent, especially. I do have to be careful about detergent, because of sensitive skin – but I still like having some kind of fragrance. I’m thinking either the fruity or woody one might be nice.
