Last week we went back to school and let me tell you, no matter how much you plan and how prepared you think you are, after a lazy summer with a pretty spontaneous schedule (for the kiddos anyway), it seems like that first week back to school is always a tough one. To add to the pressure for week two, I’m going to be leaving bright and early Wednesday morning for 5 days in Tulsa, OK with my daughter so that leaves hubby and the teenager home alone. I know they can handle it, but I’m a mom so I worry regardless of if it’s warranted or not. Since we’ve been so busy and everything has been so chaotic, I’ve been trying to come up with some food options that are of course easy and filling, but also that can be made ahead and easily warmed up whenever you want. The other day I made these Maple Bacon Pancake Dippers and they definitely fit the bill.

Of course I was already at Target picking up some school supplies (yes after school had started – that’s how on top of things I am this year). Fortunately Target has a little bit of everything so I headed over to the grocery section and grabbed a container of NESTLÉ® NESQUIK®Chocolate Powder, some milk,  and the ingredients for the pancake dippers. How did moms stay sane before stores that had a little bit of everything?

IP 2 Bacon In Pan

Pour pancake mix on top of bacon and let cook for about a minute, flip and cook other side equally.

IP 3 Batter Over Bacon

IP 4 Maple Bacon Dipper

Continue until all your dippers are cooked and serve with plenty of maple syrup for dipping.

These are really the perfect  breakfast or snack so when you make them, be sure to make extra and when you pair them with a delicious, cold glass of chocolate or strawberry milk made with NESTLÉ® NESQUIK® Powder Strawberry or NESTLÉ® NESQUIK® Powder Chocolate. it just doesn’t get much better than that. Especially since Nestle Nesquick powder has 45% less sugar than the leading chocolate syrup brand and it contains 7 essential vitamins and minerals and when combined with 8 fluid ounces of low-fat milk Nesquick powder provides 8g of protein.  I feel even if I’m not a perfect mom, I can make choices like this for my family that help them get the nutrition they need each day and that’s pretty important.

What’s your best tip for making morning run smoother when things get crazy? Is it a special recipe, a strict routine, or is every day just winging it? How would Nestle Nesquick chocolate or strawberry powder fit in to your life? Let me know in the comments below and then pop over and grab this Nesquick Powder offer from the Target Cartwheel app! Now through 9/24/16 you can save 30% off a 10.9 oz small canister of Nesquik Powder. Thanks for reading!
