How do you decide what to feed your dogs? I mean I can barely decide what to feed myself and my kids…who can talk. Okay maybe grunt and groan, but they do have words I’m sure of it. My dogs though, they can’t articulate what they like and what they don’t. I have to pay attention to other cues they give me about what is best for them to thrive. I’ve been a dog owner my entire life – I seriously can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a dog, usually multiple. I thought I was pretty dog savvy, and I still think I am, but I have to admit, I haven’t always known that all dog foods are not created equal and every dog has different nutritional needs. So how does a loving dog owner make sure their hounds are happy and healthy? We take a trip to PetSmart and see what the Wellness section has to offer.
For our Boxer, Remmington, we chose the Wellness CORE line of food. He’s a four year old and he’s a big boy for his breed and very energetic so he needs food that’s protein packed to keep him going. I love that CORE’s nutritional philosophy is rooted in the belief that pets love and thrive on hearty animal proteins and with ingredients like beef and salmon, CORE is truly a protein-packed pet food. Perfect! Just check out the ingredients list – I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Of course the true test comes when we actually feed our dog and so far, Remmy loves the stuff. His weight and coat are even starting to look healthier after being on Wellness CORE for the last month.
With CORE grain-free dog food, its easy to give your dog a healthy, happy and long life while still spoiling them rotten and at the end of the day, that’s really all any of us want. Our dogs are part of the family and the healthier they are, the more memories we get to make with them. If you want to make more memories with your dog, be sure to visit PetSmart to check out the extensive line up of Wellness Core and Wellness Complete Health Products and I’m positive you’ll find something that will work perfectly to fulfill your pooch’s needs.
