Are you a pet parent? Most of you know that in addition to my two human kiddos, I am the mama of several “fur-children”. One of those is my cat Peanut (shhh…don’t tell him he’s a cat, he has no idea). We rescued him from a litter of feral kittens about three years ago and he’s basically stayed on the cat tower or our bed ever since.
For a long time I didn’t pay a lot of attention to what I fed my cats, which is weird because I was very picky about what I fed my dogs. One day when I was out shopping it occurred to me that my cats deserved no less than the other fur-children, and maybe I should look into what I was actually feeding them too. What I discovered is that, not all cat foods are created equal. Some have fillers, some are organic and all natural, and then there are those that are somewhere in between. Wow, so much to think about!
Now, I had heard of Wellness brand pet foods, but I hadn’t tried them, However, when looking into the top foods for cat nutrition, it’s a name that keeps coming up again and again. Wellness offers several options with their Complete Health dry cat food and their Devine Duos wet cat food recipes. Did you know that feeding wet cat food some or all of the time actually helps to keep your cats hydrated? What I really love about Wellness recipes, is that they are all free from corn, soy, wheat, and artificial colors and flavors. Instead, Wellness uses a small number of simple, pure, authentic ingredients.
Not only are Wellness recipes healthy and free of fillers, there are so many different flavors to choose from that your kitty is sure to find a couple of favorites. Complete Health dry cat food flavors include Salmon, Salmon Meal & Deboned Turkey Recipe. There are also Complete Health Indoor Health products available. The Devine Duos wet cat food flavors include Chicken Pate and Diced Curry, Chicken Pate and Diced Salmon, Beef Pate and Diced Chicken Liver, Talipia Pate and Diced Ahi Tuna, Tuna Pate and Diced Salmon, and Chicken Pate and Diced Duck. As you can see Peanut is really enjoying the Divine Duos with Chicken Pate’ and Diced Duck!
As a pioneer in holistic nutrition, Wellness always seeks new ways to help pets thrive, educate people about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and support animal wellness programs. June 23, 2014 at 3:22 pmThat’s awesome! I’m glad your cat likes that food. We tried Wellness for our bulldogs, but apparently it had too much protein (let me just say.. it was yucky to clean up). I’ve heard it’s incredible for dogs that expend a bit more energy than mine 🙂

June 27, 2014 at 8:37 amI haven’t tried it for my Bulldog yet – just the cats. It’s good to know about the high protein content…that’s a mess I would like to avoid myself as Miss Petunia isn’t the most active dog on the block as I’m sure you can imagine! lol It would probably be perfect for the Boxer though since he never stops going!
