Guess what I discovered? Big kid Capri Suns is my best comparison — yes friends, there is such thing as wine in a single serve pouch and Nuvino was nice enough to send me a sample so I could tell you guys all about it! I mean this is really what we’ve all been waiting for right? What’s great about Nuvino wine pouches you ask?
Well, to start with, they’re easy to transport for those summer barbecues or camping trips without the possibility of a broken bottle or pesky corks that don’t want to cooperate (or yes, the all too common forgotten corkscrew). At about $3.99 each, the price for these is definitely right. Nuvino also gives you options so there’s something to appeal to everyone. There are four options to be exact:
- Sauvignon Blanc from Chile’s Maule Valley (2013): The Sauvignon Blanc has fresh aromas of white flowers and crisp citrus notes combined with green apples and white peaches.
- Chardonnay from South Africa’s Cape Winelands (2013): The zesty, unoaked wine features a nice balance of vanilla, pineapple and ripe peach flavors.
- Red Blend from Australia’s Swan Hill Wine Region (2013): Features silky smooth flavors of plums, mulberries and hints of oak, and;
- Malbec from Mendoza’s Maipu wine region in Argentina (2013): This deep violet wine explodes with plum, black currant and vanilla notes.
Since these come in single serve pouches, there’s no wasting 1/2 a bottle of precious wine if everyone doesn’t feel like drinking the same thing. Oh yeah, I told you it just keeps getting better! Do they taste good though? I mean really, how cool are they if they taste horrible? Well let me tell you, I’m a pretty picky wine drinker (to be honest I’m a micro-brew girl), but I will say, I do like these. My favorites are the Sauvignon Blanc and the Chardonnay which is not surprising because I tend to migrate toward the sweeter, usually white, wines. My red wine buddy though, agreed that the Red Blend and the Malbec were equally appealing to her pallette though. These Nuvino wine pouches are definitely something that I will likely be picking up again for upcoming events and outings.
Are you a wine lover? What’s your favorite type of wine? Would these amazing wine pouches solve any wine drinking hassles you’ve ever experience? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!

July 25, 2014 at 8:36 amI’d love a sip, thank ya! I fell in love with plum wine earlier this week and I think I’ll have a glass of that when I get home. Yum! Happy Friday!

July 28, 2014 at 9:09 amI tried these, too. I didn’t like the reds. The ones I like best were the whites, specifically, the Souvignon blanc

July 29, 2014 at 6:17 pmI’d try them. I like that they’re single serve. If the wine is good, they’ll sell. On the other hand, that’s a lot of packaging. I’d rather they put the wine in a little glass bottle and sell it for less.
