The Review
The Mineral Blushes are a light velvety powder that sweeps on silky sheer color easily and evenly providing a natural blushed skin tone. I chose Maria Azucena and as you can see, it has a light-diffusing quality which allows for a mistake-proof, basically flawless application and the color remained true all day. Next, I love the Hydrating Stick Gloss in Deseo. This product is supposed to combine color and hydrating gloss in a stick form which it seems to go a great job of. It is not tacky or sticky, rather it has a buttery, creamy feel that. It certainly seems to moisturizes your lips while delivering color in a sheer and sophisticated finish. This photo makes the Deseo color look like a deep brown, but it actually goes on fairly sheer and was not too dark, even for this girl who usually sticks to pinks, melons, and peaches. I don’t know that it will be my daily go-to lip color, but definitely good to have on hand when I feel like changing up my look. I selected the Mineral Shadow Liners in Caramelo and Aquamarina. The pigment in these is impressive and their creamy powder texture gives an immediate release of intense color and blends very easily for a long-wearing, crease-resistant application. When mixed with water, you can use it as a beautiful long wearing eyeliner. I love having options and I love it when products are multi-purpose. I also really, really love sparkly, glittery or shimmer things, so I am really liking this shadow liner so far. The Volumizing Mascara in Black does a great job at extending and separating lashes by lengthening each lash while delivering just the right amount of mascara without clumping. I hate clumps and its really hard to find a mascara that doesn’t clump, but also sticks enough to make a difference. This mascara contains rich dark pigments to enhance lash color for maximum drama, and really, what’s the point of mascara if you don’t want those beautiful lashes to be noticed? Finally, the Intense Black Eye Liner Pencil is a smoothly textured eye pencil that provides precise definition and easy, smooth application. The pencil applies evenly without “dragging” or pulling the delicate eye area which produces a clean precise line without smudging. This is super important for me because I have really moved away from pencil liners lately and gravitated toward pen and gel liners. I haven’t found a pencil liner that went on smoothly and didn’t smudge and make me look like a raccoon by mid-day. Guess what, so far so good with the Mia Mairu liner. Now I don’t know if I’ll be making this my primary go-to liner, but it will definitely be one that I pack as a secondary on the go.
