Let’s talk make-up for a minute. Specifically, foundation. A good one is hard to find right ladies? Well, I know it is for me. Now, I may be slightly picky, but I think I’m allowed to be considering that foundation is called that for a reason – its sets the stage for all of the other makeup that goes onto your beautiful face each and every day. I mean really, foundation has a pretty important job when you think about it. Lately I’ve been on the hunt for a new one and as luck would have it, I was given the opportunity to try out Mia Mariu’s primer, foundation, and concealer trio.
According to Mia Mariu – In just three steps, Create Your Perfect Canvas!
- The Perfecting Finish Mineral Primer creates a smooth facial canvas allowing the foundation to glide on seamlessly, leaving a fresh natural look that lasts all day. Our Mineral Primer is power packed with antioxidants and vitamins to give your skin a healthy glow. Your skin will love you for it! Oil free.
- Perfecting Finish Mineral Cream Concealer is an oil-free, vitamin packed, high intensity formula that effectively covers imperfections like dark spots, discoloration and blemishes for a perfect and even tone. The Mineral Cream Concealer is perfectly balanced to match your skin tone without leaving ash tones or a chalky look.
- Perfecting Finish Mineral Foundations come in three formulas: Liquid, Cream and Loose Powder. They deliver oil-free, luminous all day coverage while providing the benefits of natural minerals and vitamins. Each Mineral Foundation reduces the appearance of pores to obtain a perfectly matched radiant tone. Enjoy a flawless all day refined finish!
How It Worked For Me
Now I’m pretty fair skinned, so I opted to try out the Vanilla shade, and I must say it was pretty much perfect for my current skin tone (which is beginning to get slightly tan but no need to go a shade darker just yet). Color-wise, this was definitely a win. I will say I wasn’t a fan of the sponge applicator that came with the foundation – it just didn’t want to seem to blend well, but when I moved on to blending with my fingers, the foundation went on fabulously. Sometimes your fingers are just your best blending tool regardless of how many brushes and applicators you have around.
I also added some of the concealer in my typical problem areas (under the eyes, nose, and chin) and that blended with the foundation perfectly. Neither the foundation nor the concealer was too heavy or “cakey”, even after wearing for 10-12 hours a day. I also didn’t notice my face getting oily or shiny by the end of the day so I was very happy with that – oily spots by the afternoon are one of my biggest battles. I think that is partially due to the primer, which I hadn’t used much in the past, but I will definitely continue using going forward. I had no idea what a difference that made!
If you’re interested in trying the Mia Mariu primer, foundation, and concealer trio, you’re in luck because they are letting me give a set to one of my readers (in the shade of your choice of course!). Just complete the Rafflecopter entry form below for your chance! Giveaway ends 07/31/14 at 11:59 pm PST.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
