Wanna know what I did today? Not really? Well I’m telling you anyway. I got up, drove to work, worked from 8-4:30, raced home, got the little diva’s hair done up for cheer practice, and coaxed the teenager out of his room since he wanted to be dropped off at his girlfriends house for the evening. Next we jumped in the car, raced back to town to drop the boy off and get the diva to the gym by 5:30. Then a quick cheer parent meeting before I swooped by my Aunt’s house to pick my mom up and head back home. Now that I’m home I have about 10 other things that needed to be done yesterday and the last thing I feel like doing, is figuring out a dinner that will satisfy all five people living in our house. Some days you just need to give your mom guilt a boot and take the easy road if that’s the one that gets everyone trough the day happy and on time. Are you with me? If not, I may not have all the busy family solution you were looking for, but if you’re still reading, there’s a good chance we’re seeing eye to eye here.
Did you know that according to a new Red Baron survey[1] of 1,000 U.S. moms of kids ages 3-17, more than 2 in 5 moms view their kids’ summer break as the least relaxing time of the year. Wait…cue the mom guilt! Actually don’t because you know what? We’re human, and those kids are hard to entertain – the struggle is real y’all and you’re not alone! Many moms indicated they reach a breaking point just 13 days into summer as they begin to get behind on common chores like grocery shopping or meal preparation. Let’s be honest here, we all have a parenting “war story”, but this summer I’m not gonna break. This summer Red Baron pizza is the solution to hectic and chaotic days. Pizza truly is a secret weapon the whole family can agree on and has the power to bring peace, especially at meal time. #SorryNotSorry
Easy peasy to make. (So easy that my 16 year old will actually “make dinner” on Red Baron pizza night with zero complaints. Mom win! Since it’s available in 11 different flavors from Pepperoni to Chipotle Chicken, there’s something for everyone. In fact we usually bake up three different flavors – everyone really can have their own favorite!
So spill…what’s you’re parenting war story? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!
