I don’t even know where to start with telling you about last weekend. In case you didn’t know I was invited on a retreat in San Diego with a group of ladies that are all part of the HP Smart Moms Panel with BSM and HP Printers. We arrived at the resort on Thursday and most of us headed back home on Sunday, so just a few days, but those days were amazing. Why? Because they were truly focused on us as moms and individuals that deserved a little down time and appreciation – something that all moms deserve but don’t always get.
Since Thursday was the day everyone was arriving, it was pretty low key. After checking in to the resort and having a drink and some lunch with a few of the ladies I hadn’t seen in a while, it was time for a little pampering with a manicure session. Then some down time and an evening cocktail reception and My Printly carnival where we got to play games, take pictures, and check out some of the current and emerging technologies and idea from HP. All I’m going to say is there is some pretty exciting stuff to be on the lookout for!

Back at our rooms for the evening we were surprised with beautiful photo collages of our families waiting for us. What a beautiful treat personalized for each woman there and the perfect way to wind down day one and say goodnight.
Best surprise ever or what?! Thank you! #myprintlymoms #piccollage #hp @myprintly #neverrunout

Day two started with a delicious breakfast because bacon. Then we all loaded up on busses and headed for the HP Headquarters in San Diego. The grounds are amazing and the employees are some of the nicesest people around. In talking and brainstorming with them I learned that they truly care about their customers needs and concerns and there is some fun stuff to be on the lookout for from HP. One of my favorite things they’ve come up with is their Instant Ink program for their printers. I’ve been using it for months and if you haven’t looked into it, you need to. It’s a lifesaver and so easy and cost effective that you’re crazy if you don’t subscribe. After our trip to HP we returned to the resort for some fun. We were able to participate in sessions like Mixology and Spa Remedies, or just hang out to relax and get in some more down time (which is exactly what I did…naps are good!). Later in the evening we were invited to dinner a craft party with My Printly and oh my goodness, that was a blast. Once again we returned to our rooms for the night to find some surprises! I mean really what girl doesn’t like being pampered a little bit!
More awesome surprises from @myprintly and @hp! #neverrunout #myprintlymoms #hpsmartmom Thank you for the stuff but mostly for the new friends and memories! A photo posted by Alison Freisz-Steward (@jewell5022) on
Saturday, Saturday was a big day and I think the day that everyone was dying for. Saturday was a trip to Disneyland! Yes, a trip to Disneyland for adults only and it was so much fun! I got to hang out with some awesome ladies that I’m happy to call my friends even though we live on opposite sides of the country. We laughed, we cried, and we truly absorbed ourselves in that Disney Magic!

I can honestly say this was a trip that I won’t soon forget. I missed my family, but I’m so glad that I decided to accept this invitation – it was an amazing experience and I’d like to thank BSM Media, HP, and Disney Parks for making it all possible!
