Thank goodness Spring has finally sprung because this gal was starting to get a serious case of cabin fever! I’m sure hoping the summer doesn’t heat up too fast, but just in case I’m going to try to enjoy these next few weeks of near perfect weather.
You know who else is ready to get out of the dang house, and outside to stretch their legs and run some energy off? The dogs! All 6 of them. And I’m 100% ready for them to get to spend more time outside too. Six dogs, two kids, a mom, a hubby and me is way too many family members to be cooped up in a 1600 sf. house for an extended winter!
Just Hanging With the Dogs…and their toys…
Out of our pack of six dogs, they’re all pretty playful, but Ellie Mae, our German Shorthair Pointer, is by far the most enthusiastic. At five years old, she still has more energy than anyone knows what to do with. I’m pretty sure she’ll forever be a puppy! Ellie requires tons of activity and fetch is absolutely, hands down, her very favorite game to play! Because RUNNING of course! And this girl can move! More often than not, she outruns her toys but she always recovers well and comes back for more!
Our current favorite toys to #MakeFetchHappen with? Chuckit by far! They have a simple, but thorough assortment of balls, launchers, and other items and my favorite part, they are made with safety in mind for dogs of all sizes. Fun can just be fun with your four legged best friend! I mean did you see how excited Ellie May was for the next launch of the ball? She’s like this every single time she sees me pull these brightly colored toys out. (Great news, if you haven’t gotten around to mowing yet, the bright colors make the toys easy to find in the grass…you’re welcome.)
