{This post is sponsored by Cottonelle, but my love for their fresh care flushable cleansing cloths and clean bums is all my own!}
Let’s talk bums. Not your everyday standing around the water cooler conversation, but I think bum freshness is an issue that every family tackles at some point or another. I mean really, everyone has a bum and sometimes you don’t feel as fresh and clean down there as you’d like. My family works a lot, outside, with animals, in the heat, and living in the country there’s a lot of dirt, sweat, (and yes sometimes tears) involved in our daily routine. Top that off with a tween boy that’s always in a hurry and a potty training toddler and you have an equation for some bums that I’ll admit, aren’t always at their cleanest. After all of this messiness, we’re always looking for anything that helps everyone stay fresher and cleaner, and that includes our bathroom routines.
Wet + Dry Bathroom Routine
When I heard about Cottonelle’s wet + dry system, I was definitely interested. I mean everyone has those times when toilet paper alone, just doesn’t seem to cut it. When you think about it, wet wipes is just logical…I mean we use them all the time for babies and they work fabulously so why wouldn’t we use them for larger humans? Almost too logical right? And let me say, when it comes to ones bum, it really can’t be too clean. I think most everyone would agree. So after having this epiphany, I decided to give Cottonelle’s wet + dry system a try and see if it was something we should incorporate into our messy families bathroom routine.
The Family Loves Clean Bums
Beside myself, the first person I tried the new routine on was our smallest human, my potty training toddler. Dry toilet paper alone rarely does the trick in the bathroom with this girl so we resort to baby wipes, but those aren’t flushable. Sometimes its the small conveniences that make something really worth while and septic friendly, flushable wipes in the bathroom is one of those little luxuries! I’ll tell you what, from the first time we busted these babies out, I was sold, and my daughter really thought she was a big girl being able to finally get her bum clean all on her own (with some pretty intense supervision of course!). I think Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths are going to help us get through potty training thing feeling fresher and much less stressed!
Next subject, my very active tween son. He evidently has a sensitive bum, because this kid can be toilet paper picky. I wasn’t sure how he would take to Cottonelle Clean Care toilet paper since it wasn’t what had been in his bathroom previously, but I was very pleasantly surprised when he didn’t seem to notice that I had changed out the roll and if he did, he didn’t complain so this stuff is definitely sensitive bum approved. He actually got excited when I pulled out the Flushable Cleansing Cloths — he had heard about the “bum cleaners” and felt those definitely needed to go in his bathroom! There was a huge reduction in the amount of toilet paper being used in his particular bathroom and he admitted that the cleansing cloths were sort of a guilty pleasure. Evidently one cloth does the work of about 1/4 of a roll of dry toilet paper in certain situations. Definitely a winning combination here!
A New Bathroom Routine
In my experience, nothing leaves you fresher and more confidently clean than the combination of Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths with Clean Care toilet paper. I think we’ll definitely be keeping Cottonelle around going forward because there’s a product or a wet + dry combination that seems to fit everyone in the households needs.
