I think we’ve all established over the past year or so that coloring isn’t just for kids anymore. In fact, adult coloring books are a pretty big deal; you see them in almost every store you go to. I’ll admit I even have a couple of my own. One I keep in the car for road trips and one I keep by “my” chair so that I can zone out in the evenings watching TV on those rare nights that I have 10 minutes without something else that I absolutely have to do. (Needless to say it’ll probably take me a while to complete that one!) But what do you do with all of those completed designs and books once you’ve colored them? For me the books at that point just kind of get shoved on a bookshelf or in a drawer never to be seen or heard from again. What if that wasn’t the case though? What if there was a way to show off your amazing masterpieces once you were done?
Great news! There is a way and it’s called Colorwear. Their markers and T-shirts make wearable art a thing. We’ve had lots going on the past few weeks so we’ve had friends and family all over the place and when I told them about Colorwear the most common response I got was “oh wow I love to color!” When we were all together for my brother & now sister-in-law’s wedding prep I thought it would be the perfect time to lay it all out there and let everyone see what I was talking about. Chaos ensued because everyone wanted to make sure they got their most favorite shirt.
Of course I saved this wolf print for myself because it was definitely my fave. If you sit and color the entire shirt in one session, you’re looking at about 2 hours, but there’s nothing saying that you have to color your shirt all in one sitting. I love that you can be as precise or as abstract as you want with your color combinations…there’s no right or wrong way to do this – you just do you – even if that means coloring your Colorwear at the office because you weren’t able to make it to the party.
This has got to be more fun than spreadsheets and contract review right?! The Mountain® (the creators of Colorwear) wanted to create wearable art through completely personalized and colorable t-shirts which I think they’ve done a fine job of and of course, Colorwear products are environmentally friendly, so you can enjoy yourself without harming the world! Now if you check out the website, you can see that there are tons of Colorwear designs available, 175 to be exact (personally I’m dying to get my hands on the horse head design, but there’s a buffalo skull and a sugar skull I wouldn’t mind sporting either) and if you sign up for their newsletter, you can score 25% off of your order.
In the meantime, Influence Central is hosting a contest for Colorwear providing Horseshoes & Hand Grenades readers with a chance to win one of 20 Colorwear Prize Packs, but this contest ends on August 25, 2016 so be sure to get your entries in now!
* I-C will randomly select 20 winners from all program entries and will handle fulfillment of the winning prizes. Open to US residents only.
So tell me, what do you want to color? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!
