Have you had a relaxing summer, carefree with no responsibility? Unless you’re between the ages of like 4 and 14 the answer to that is probably a big fat NO…well you’re in good company because neither have I. I feel like I’ve been busier the last couple of months than I’ve ever been in my life, but if you had asked me that two months ago I’d probably have said the same thing, and if you ask me two months from now…yup, you guess it, busy, busy, busy. I’m tired. Hubby is tired. Heck, on some days even the kids would say they’re tired (but not out loud…no never out loud). Even when we think we’re so done we don’t even care anymore, we really do though. We care about those basic things our loved ones need in life and one of those things is food. Try as I might I’ve tried to get my family on an eating only every other day schedule and they just don’t go for it – the savages are still demanding to be fed every single day, sometimes multiple times! Say what?! And lets be honest, it helps if the food tastes good and yes, even healthy.
Say hello to Healthy Choice! Now if you’re a queen of convenience like I am, you know that Healthy Choice isn’t really “new” as a brand, they’ve been around a while and honestly have fed me many lunches at the office over the years. They’ve kind of always been my go to for a few reasons. They have a good selection, the portion size is good – I’m not usually stuffed, but I can tell I had a meal, they fit into my budget, and I feel like the nutritional value of their options is healthier than some of the alternatives…oh and they taste good…pretty important when you’re stuffing your face right? I think so. Imagine my surprise when I discovered Healthy Choice Simply Cafe Steamers new organic ingredient meals. All 270 calories or less and 100 percent natural, the new meals are made using all Non-GMO ingredients with nothing artificial. The new recipes include: Unwrapped Burrito Bowl, Sweet & Spicy Asian-Style Noodle Bowl, Three Cheese Tortellini and Spinach & Tomato Linguini.
These aren’t your typical pre-made meal, these make you forget you’re eating at your desk or break room, and feel like you’ve just been served up something delicious from your fave restaurant. I can eat these and feel okay about “convenience” foods because even though I don’t have the time to be bothered with it, the Healthy Choice crew is making sure I’m able to prepare quick, quality meals that are good for me and taste like fresh meals I would make for myself. Can a convenient, fast, easy meal be therapeutic? I think if it makes me feel better, a little less stressed, and makes me slow down a little to enjoy it, then yes, it can be and that’s what Healthy Choice Simply Cafe Steamers brings to the table (or desk as it may be).
