Remember that vacation I mentioned taking around Thanksgiving? It was awesome, but then we came home and being just a few weeks from Christmas and New Years, needless to say things got a little chaotic so I did an absolutely horrible time about sharing about the actual trip. For that I apologize, but it does mean that I have some fun stuff coming up now that the holidays have passed and maybe it’ll give you some ideas and answer questions as you’re getting trips planned for the upcoming year. One of my favorite parts of our trip to Florida was actually our last evening before heading back home to the (much colder) Pacific Northwest. We were able to enjoy dinner and a show at Medieval Times in Orlando.
For those of you that have never been to a function of this type, you need to do it at least once. I had seen advertisements here and there in the past, but it was never the right time, but when this opportunity came up and it coincided perfectly with our vacation plans, I knew we had to do it. I checked out the Medieval Times website and did my research, but of course you never really know what to expect. I’m going to be honest, as cool as it looked, in the back of my head I was little worried that it would be a little cheesy. I say without hesitation that was not the case at all, we were entertained, we were stuffed, and we felt very involved in the show.
Being a horse lover, I was also very impressed as I learned about the breeding, training, and behind the scenes care of the animals in the show, which you can learn more about here if you’d like. It was easy to see that everyone, actors and guests alike, were having a great time. The audience interaction was fabulous and really made you feel like you were part of the show and not simply watching from a distance. The best part is you don’t have to be in Orlando to attend, Medieval Times has shows all over the US! You can find out if there’s one near you by checking here.
Giveaway Time!
Now I haven’t done a lot of giveaways lately, but Medieval Times was nice enough to not only give my family tickets to participate in this amazing show while we were on vacation, but they have also given me tickets to share with you all. What that means is one of you will have the opportunity to win tickets for a family of 4 to any of the show locations in the United States!! Now that’s a pretty great way to start off the new year right? Just complete the entries on the form below and you just may be the next big winner! Giveaway ends at 11:59pm on January 31, 2017; open to US residents only, age 18+ to enter. Good luck!

January 9, 2017 at 2:21 pmThe closest location to me is the Chicago (Schaumberg) one. It’s about an hour drive for us, but we frequent the area for other things, so it’s not really out of our way. I’ve been there once, and would love to be able to take my daughters back. We’ve been hit with too many medical bills (both for humans and furbabies) lately, so I don’t have the extra for things like this. I’m really hoping to win!
