Traveling With Chronic Pain

I’ve had issues with my back and neck for the past several years. It runs in the family so I lucked out there evidently. I know a lot of people suffer with chronic pain issues and it can really make doing relatively ordinary things, a whole lot harder. You have to plan not only for whatever activity you’re partaking in, but also your expected pain level as a result. Will I need the evening to recover or a day or two? What type of pain relief do I need to incorporate so that the pain doesn’t get ahead of me and result in something even worse, which for generally comes in the form of a migraine. It ads a whole additional level of preparedness to your to-do list.

I find that the times I have the biggest issues is when I travel. Long trips in the car or airplane are just uncomfortable and increase my pain level immensely; but at the same time, some of the most exciting things that I get to do for business or with family include travel so there’s no way I’m giving that up. Instead I find ways to fight the battle and hopefully remain on the winning, less painful, side of things. Since conference season (for all you influencers out there), spring break, and summer are quickly approaching, I thought it might be a good time to start planning, and sharing some of the things I like to make sure I remember, for convenience, and to aid in relief with chronic pain.

Curamin

One of the first things I make sure I grab these days, whether I’m going to work for they day or out of state for a week, is Curamin® Stop Pain Now.  I’ve recently discovered Curamin® at my local health store which is always a super friendly place to shop, and it’s honestly made an amazing difference in my days. I prefer the Curamin® Extra Strength 60 Count bottle because it’s the perfect size to get me through about a month.

I’d heard good things about it and when it comes to non-prescription pain relief options, let’s just say I’ve tried a lot, dietary supplements included. Most of them don’t make much of a difference but with Curamin® I noticed an improvement in my pain levels by the end of the first week I started taking it! Now I don’t start my day’s without it or I can tell by lunch time! What I didn’t know until I looked into it, was that Curamin® is the award winning pain relief product that has provided life changing benefits for hundreds of thousands of people around the world and I think that’s a pretty big deal, especially for a natural product!

Since it’s part of my daily routine, my bottle of Curamin® Extra Strength 60 Count absolutely goes with me when I travel as well, since that’s when I generally run into the most problems with controlling my chronic pain. A few other things I make sure to grab include:

  • Portable charger (because a dead phone when traveling is disaster!)
  • Plenty of reading material
  • A pillow (because given the chance, this girl is going catch some Zzz’s any chance she gets!)
  • Tablet/Phone or Laptop because the serve multiple purposes: communication, entertainment, and if I’m flying, the plane is a great place to get some work done (unless of course I’m using said pillow for sleep!)
  • Printed copy of any directions that I may need – because electronics are awesome, but if you lose service or have a dead battery, you want a back-up plan that you can count on!
  • For more tips and don’t forget items, be sure to print out a copy of my Travel Must-Have’s Checklist below!
