Use Less Water
One of the biggest changes you can ever make is to use less water. In fact, water is just about the most valuable resource that you have, and you should make sure that you are not doing anything to overuse it in any way. That means paying attention to not having showers which are too long, ensuring that you don’t leave the tap running for any reason, and collecting water in butts outside in the garden in order to water the garden that way as much as possible. All of that is going to really help in making sure that you use a lot less water in your day to day life, and it’s all stuff that you can do from today.
Change Up The Lighting
If you take a look at the lighting in your home, are you sure that you are lighting the home in the most eco-friendly way possible? The fact is that most of us are not, and this is something that you might want to look into if you are keen to ensure that you are helping the planet along well. There are many lighting options which are better than the traditional form of lighting that most homes would have. For instance, you might want to think about using a smart LED light strip to light up a kitchen counter, rather than a huge overhead bulb. This is an effective and economical way to light a small area like that. Or you might want to replace those bulbs with energy-saving ones, at the very least.

Plant Some Seeds
If you want to rely less on the global food supply chains that keep the world churning in such harmful ways, then you can do so by planting some fruit and veg in your own garden to eat yourself. Even if you only have a small garden, or just a windowsill, you can still do this, and it is absolutely worth doing for how much of a difference it makes. What’s more, it’s actually very enjoyable to do, and there is something pleasing about watching all of the food in your garden grow to the point where you can then eat it happily. This is something you can get started on today too.
